T.L. lives in Brisbane, Australia with her 2 children. She started writing because of her love of reading. She used to doodle with ideas when she was younger, but never wrote too much. Her life dream is to be a full time author. If you ask her if she is like her characters, she says, “I am like both of the characters from my two book series. I think I have put a bit of myself in both….Krinos tends to say things without thinking, I do the same. She also rules the roost, and I do the same in my household.” Her celebrity crush is Chris Hemsworth, she loves chocolate ice cream, her biggest pet peeve is nails on a chalkboard., and she is not a fan of having her photo taken. She loves being part of the Indie Book world, and has made some amazing friends along the way. But, she acknowledges she could never do what she does if it wasn’t for the bloggers that pimp her and the fans that support her and read her books.

MY THOUGHTS~  I chose to read this book because I was provided with an ARC for review. Author, T.L. Smith rocked it out of the park AGAIN with this second book in the Take Over series, Kalon! It was an awesome continuation of the first book. Kalon picked up right where Krinos left off. As I said in my review of book one in the Take Over series, Krinos, I was told before I started the series that "it's not for everyone", and while that is likely true, it was definitely "for me"! I started in on this book immediately after finishing Krinos and read it in one sitting! It was that good. I just couldn't put it down. Kalon brings in a few new characters to the fold and with them come new twists and turns. It's an amazing read! We also got a bit of biker-yumminess thrown into this book too! Mmmm, loved it! The author did a great job with the writing and continued character development, giving the characters even more depth and the reader the opportunity to "get to know" the characters that much better. I, personally, would have liked to see this story be longer, but then I said that with the first one in the series as well. Other than that, the only other issue I had with the book was the italicized words. They were way too abundant and seemed unnecessary at times. It seemed more of the cuss words were italicized than not, and it got rather annoying. I found myself ignoring them and just reading them as normal within the sentences. That was minor in the bigger picture though. Otherwise, Kalon is an amazing continuation of the Take Over series and I am waiting not so patiently for the next book in the series!

SYNOPSIS~ (From Goodreads) My life was simple. Follow instructions, learn the family business and  be prepared to take over when the time has come. My name is Eliza,  although people in the business know me as Krinos. One thing you  should know about me is that my father is a drug lord, the boss in  these parts. I am prepared to do whatever it takes to step up to the challenge and  run the family business, to make my father proud, a business filled  with drugs, sex and death. What I’m not prepared for though is him,  the Greek god who walks into my life and threatens to rock my world. Now, my life has just got complicated. But don’t misunderstand,  complicated is not a weakness. My father was not a man to cross, so  expect nothing less from me. I am my father’s daughter, and I will be  the boss.
MY THOUGHTS~  I chose to read this book because I was provided with an ARC for review. I absolutely LOVED this book! This is my kind of romance! It's dark and action packed and amazing! I was told before I read it that "it's not for everyone", so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was most definitely "for me" though, no doubt! Author, T.L. Smith, did an awesome job with this story. I was captivated by Krinos from the very beginning. I felt that the characters were very well developed and they just kicked ass! Krinos is one bad ass bitch, for sure!  My only complaint is that it was too short, but then I knew it was short going in, so that's not the author's fault. I don't normally read short stories, novellas, or just short books in general. I like a lengthy novel, but even being what I consider to be short, Krinos rocked! T.L. Smith did a spectacular job with this book and made a fan out of me! I will be reading more of her work and starting Kalon (Take Over #2) asap!
